Casey

Hi I am Casey, I am Chinese and I have been living in New Zealand for 5 years now with my family. I have 3 lovely children who are at school and kindy age. I have Early Childhood Education and Care Level 4 certificate and current a Frist Aid certificate, I have been working as a volunteer teacher at Levin playcentre (from new born to 5 years old) for over 2 years now , I like to communicate and nurture young tamariki, I am able to adapt my teaching strategies and skills to different needs of children.

We live in a fully fenced property, the house is set back in the section (safe and away from the road). We have a vegetable garden and outside play equipment like a small slide, seesaw, child friendly (no smoking or alcohol), toys for children to play, pet free environment.
We attend local playgroups, library, local parks, school playground, kindy playground, music, sing songs, read stories, drawing, creative play such as playdough, magnetic blocks, wooden blocks.

We take the children to community playgroups, school playground, kindy playground, local parks, excursions, community library and more.

I believe that children are learning through play and friendly, respectful, inclusive, multicultural, thinking from children's level are important. I encourage, resilience, support, sympathy, belonging , well-being, exploration, communication, reflection and growth for children.

Casey has been fully safety screened including a face to face interview, police vetting, identity verification and has been fully inducted.  A full risk assessment has been undertaken to ensure she is safe and suitable to work with young children. This assessment is made when they first started with us and periodically thereafter.
