I’m a fully registered ECE teacher with a Graduate Diploma in Level 7 Teaching and over four years of experience working in early childhood education. Currently, I’m on maternity leave, caring for my 11-month-old baby, which inspired me to start my own home-based care for little ones aged 0–5 years. I’m passionate about creating a nurturing and safe environment where children can learn, grow, and feel at home. In my spare time, I love spending quality moments with my family.
I live in my own home, which my husband and I purchased in 2023. It is a warm, safe, and spacious environment that provides plenty of room for children to play and explore. I have set up a dedicated playroom filled with creative, age-appropriate resources to support learning and development. Our home is family-oriented, with myself, my husband, our baby girl, and my brother living together, and we maintain a caring and welcoming atmosphere where children can feel comfortable and secure.
In my home-based care, I provide a variety of fun and educational activities to support children’s growth and development. These include creative experiences such as painting, drawing, sensory play, and arts and crafts. I also have an outdoor area where children can enjoy biking, physical play, and, during the warmer months, some safe water play.
We have regular group times where I use engaging resources to introduce children to days of the week, weather, colors, counting, and other early learning concepts. For older children (3–5 years), I also include early literacy through Letterland, as well as age-appropriate mathematics, science, and social skill development. My aim is to create a balanced environment where children can learn, explore, and have fun in a nurturing home setting.
I believe it’s important for children to be connected to their community and explore different environments outside the home. In addition to attending our local playgroup once a week, I plan to take the children on regular outings such as visits to the local park and playground for active play and exploring nature, and walks around the neighborhood to observe the seasons and our surroundings. When possible, we may also visit local shops or community events to help children build social confidence and awareness of the world around them.
My childcare philosophy is centered around providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel valued and supported as individuals. I believe children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships.
I aim to create a home-like atmosphere where children feel secure and develop a strong sense of belonging. I encourage creativity, curiosity, and independence by offering a variety of learning experiences that support their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
I also believe in fostering strong partnerships with families, as parents are a child’s first and most important teachers. By working together, we can support each child to grow with confidence, kindness, and a love for learning.
Raman is a fully registered ECE teacher with a Graduate Diploma in Level 7 Teaching. Raman has been fully safety screened including a face to face interview, police vetting, identity verification have has been fully inducted. A full risk assessment has been undertaken to ensure she is safe and suitable to work with young children.
Raman consistently holds a suitable First Aid certificate.
