I am a Mum to adult sons and a Nana to my adorable grandchildren. I have been an Educator since around 2015 and I love my job. I love the outdoors and nature and I'm passionate about gardening and animals.
I hold the NZ Certificate in ECE - Level 4.
My door is always open and the jug is always hot for a cuppa and a chat. My home is comfortable with lots of areas for children to play and explore.
We have a mud kitchen and 2 waterplay areas, bikes, a great selection of books. We do baking, playdough, paints and crafts and have lots of toys. I have 2 cats, a very kind dog, 5 chickens and I breed canaries and gouldian finches. The children have their own little vege gardens. They help with recycling, composting and looking after the worm farms, sustainability is important to us.
I take a music group each week which is so much fun. We go to gym, are regular visitors to the local library and love our excursions to lots of the fabulous resources that Hamilton has.
We do as many group excursions as we can visiting the zoo, parks, playgrounds, museum and nature projects.
To provide a happy and loving environment where children feel safe and secure creates a framework for children to flourish and grow.
Sandy is a longstanding Educator and has been fully safety screened including a face to face interview, police vetting, identity verification and has been fully inducted. A full risk assessment has been undertaken to ensure she is safe and suitable to work with young children. This assessment is made when they first started with us and periodically thereafter.
