Dana

Dana is a mother to 3 wonderful young adult children and has had many years experience as a Nanny and Home Based Educator.

Dana has a safe, fenced environment that is very well equipped. She has a large area inside for the children to explore and play independently and also as a group. The large area is great for music and movement. Dana is surrounded by local parks and visits them often with the children.

Dana is a very active Educator who enjoys being out and about within the community like visits to local parks and beaches and attends music and playgroups. The children in Dana’s care are encouraged and guided to try new experiences and are always supported beautifully through challenges.

Dana believes in creating a calm and peaceful environment. She recognises play as meaningful learning and her practice reflects this. Dana supports and extends children through observation and provides experiences that will strengthen their knowledge and skills. She is very responsive to children’s ideas and recognises the importance for rich conversations, questioning and discussions.

Dana is qualified with the NZ Certificate in ECE (Level 3)
Dana holds a current First Aid certificate at all time.
Dana has been fully safety screened including a face to face interview, police vetting, identity verification have has been fully inducted.  A full risk assessment has been undertaken to ensure she is safe and suitable to work with young children.
