Experience

I have a Bachelors Degree in Teaching, a current first aid certificate, and current police checks. I have been working with children and their families in my own home for 10 plus years, and previous to that in kindy/centres and as a Visiting Teacher for another 10 years. I live with my partner and 8 year old daughter and our 7 year old Golden Retriever Minnie.

Home Environment

I offer a warm, loving, relaxed home environment that focuses on the needs and interests of each individual child. We have a designated playroom filled with resources, children's own bathroom, also a door leading to an outdoor space with trampoline, playhouse, climbing frame, bikes, scooters and much more.
I have a wide range of resources available for children of all ages, such as; puzzles, building blocks, magnetic tiles, dress ups, books, music and movement, arts and crafts, matching games, and dramatic play resources including a kitchen.

Community Involvement

We love getting out in the community with lots of walks in the local reserves, and trips to the many local playgrounds. Being able to walk across the road to the local school playground is a great bonus!

Childcare Philosophy

My philosophy is to provide a warm, safe, and nurturing home environment where each child feels valued, respected, and secure. With a small group of up to four children, I’m able to offer individual attention, respond to each child’s unique needs, and build close, trusting relationships—just like an extended family. I believe children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful everyday experiences. My programme supports the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively—through routines that encourage independence, creativity, and a sense of belonging.
