Joanne's environment is likened to a "home away from home". It is purposely set up for children, to accommodate all ages, interests and stages of development. Joanne has a sincere passion for nature and the outdoors. This is represented with her back yard set up, with the freedom for all children to explore to their hearts content, within a safe setting.
Located in Burswood, Joanne is fortunate to have many easy walks available for the children. They love feeding the ducks, visiting the local Weta Park, going for bush walks and enjoying the local playgrounds/reserves.
Joanne enjoys taking the children out and about in the community. One of their favourite excursions, is to a local Retirement Village, which brings so much love and joy to the residents and children too. Joanne recognises that so much learning occurs through these experiences, and capture the learning and fun taking place, through various documentation for the family to see.
Joanne's philosophy is to provide a fun, loving, caring, and above all, a safe environment where children can build self-confidence and social skills. She encourages the children to problem solve and build strong relationships. Joanne truly believes that children flourish when they are able to trust and feel empowered. Joanne likes to build a bond with the parents/extended whanau, to ensure everyone is on the same page, and know that together, they are doing the best they can for each child within her care.
Joanne has been fully safety screened including a face to face interview, police vetting, identity verification have has been fully inducted. A full risk assessment has been undertaken to ensure she is safe and suitable to work with young children.
