Papu

Kohimaramara, Auckland

Experience

I am married and have two grown children, my son is married and my daughter is studying at Auckland University.  I have lived in New Zealand since 2000, holding New Zealand citizenship.  Though I am a Commerce graduate, my love for children shifted my career from Commerce to Early Childhood Education.  I have many years of experience with children, working as an Home Based Educator since 2009.
I live in Kohimarama, close to many Mission Bay suburbs and the City, which makes it easy for parents to drop off on the way to work.

Home Environment

I have a lovely warm and safe home, with large indoors and outdoor areas.  A deck and fully fenced backyard for the children to explore and soak up the sunshine.  My home is close to many parks and beaches.  I provide many activities such as puzzles, music, painting, reading, play-dough and other various sensory activities, preparation for school involving numeracy and literacy, visits to the local library and playgrounds.  I offer my families exceptional quality of care, by putting the needs of the children first and foremost.

Childcare Philosophy

My personal philosophy when working with children is to provide an environment where their health is promoted, their emotional well-being is nurtured, and they are kept safe from harm.  I believe children learn and grow in a holistic way, by providing children and their families with a strong sense of well-being and belonging.
