Experience

I’m an experienced Educator and have worked in many ECE centres over the years. As a mother of three daughters who have all left home, I opened up my home to invite more children in! I study Te Reo and tikanga and incorporate those values into my day to day teaching.

Home Environment

I’m fortunate to live in a farmhouse on 7 acres. An environment that I use a lot with the children , we are frequently out looking for rabbits, manu and the diggers that work alongside the property. I have a dog called Bella and a cat called Miles.
We like to do art, read pukapuka, sing waiata, and explore and go on a hikoi. A lot of role play, messy play and laughter.

Community Involvement

We love to catch the bus on outings or walk around our area and visit beaches and recycling shops.

Childcare Philosophy

I want nga tamariki to feel safe and secure, to flourish and grow in themselves, to feel confident in their environment and to share with me their learning and experiences. For their whanau to feel secure knowing their tamariki are well loved and cared for are key for me. Child led play and exploration is an important part of my philosophy.  We like to see where situations and our surroundings take us in our learning journey.
