Experience

I'm Sha and I have been a Home Based Educator for a number of years. My husband is usually at work, and I have a daughter who is studying at university.
I enjoy cooking and baking, spending time looking after children, and relaxing with activities like gardening, reading, and listening to music.

Home Environment

My home is spacious, safe, and located in a friendly neighborhood. I have a room dedicated for the children to play in, which is filled with plenty of toys and activities.
We enjoy spending time outdoors, going to playground and local library. At home children experience activities such as art and crafts, reading, drawing, colouring, learning alphabets, numbers, nursery rhymes, learning to write, building blocks and Lego. We have lots of puzzles, I enjoy supporting children to learn about animals, fruit and vegetables , while letting them enjoy singing, dance and music.

Community Involvement

I like to take advantage of the benefit of having smaller groups of children in her care by attending regular playgroups and library visits. This helps develop social skills and wider friendship networks. I believe children learn through experiences such as outings to parks, playgrounds, beaches, Auckland botanical gardens, and the many other child friendly activities Auckland has to offer.

Childcare Philosophy

I believe every child should feel safe, valued, and supported. I enjoy creating a fun and engaging environment where they can explore, play, and learn, while encouraging independence and guiding them with patience and care.
