Rachel has three of her own children who are all school aged. She has been providing Home Based ECE care since 2008, and has her NZ certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care - Level 4. Rachel is passionate about children, and providing them with the best possible start on their journey through education. Getting the foundations right are extremely important to her.
The close friendships they form are beautiful to see.
Your child reaching their full potential is her top priority.

Rachel’s home is on a large-fenced section with a sandpit, trampoline, and bikes and scooters to enjoy. Inside resources include play dough, painting, story time and appropriate and educational toys.

Rachel is often in the community, attending Kids At Home playgroups and gymnastics sessions. She visits local parks and libraries, and meets up with fellow Educators and their children.

What Rachel loves about home-based care is that it allows for young children to form strong, responsive and reciprocal relationships by having low ratios. Children learn to share, take turns, form friendships and develop emotional intelligence. This sets them up positively for life long learning. These low ratios allow for very close supervision, no child’s needs go unnoticed.

Rachel is a longstanding Educator and has been fully safety screened including a face to face interview, police vetting, identity verification and has been fully inducted.  A full risk assessment has been undertaken to ensure she is safe and suitable to work with young children. This assessment is made when they first started with us and periodically thereafter.

Rachel's qualifications include:
*Level Four NZ Certificate in Early Childhood Education
* First Aid certificate
* Regularly attend PLD opportunities
