Experience

With 26 years of experience in early childhood education and a Certificate IV in Early Childhood Education, I bring a calm, consistent, and joyful approach to childcare. Fairness, fun, and reliability sit at the heart of my practice. I’m passionate about building genuine relationships with children—getting to know who they are, what sparks their curiosity, and supporting them to grow and extend their interests while also introducing them to new and engaging experiences.
I have worked in ECE since around 2000. Firstly as a Nanny and now as a Home Based Educator. I hold the NZ Certificate in ECE - Level 4.

Home Environment

My home-based childcare environment is warm, nurturing, and inclusive; a place where every child feels welcome, valued, and supported. I encourage children to learn alongside one another, fostering cooperation, confidence, and connection.
Our space is equipped with plenty of resources to keep the children happily entertained and engaged in learning, we have something for everyone.
We read lots of books. We spend time outside in the sandpit or playing on the rideons. The children enjoy drawing and colouring, dancing and singing, building with blocks, racing cars and throwing balls around.

Community Involvement

We attend We also take part in regular community activities, giving children meaningful opportunities to develop and challenge their social skills in a wider world, local playgroups and story times to foster early literacy and social competence - here we make new friends too!

Childcare Philosophy

I believe in nurturing a child's individuality. That children should be supported to be strong and independent, kind and caring and to know they are cared for.
