Hi my name is Jeannette and I love working with children. I offer 30 years of professional experience working with children, including working as a primary school teacher, social worker and In Home Educator. I hold a Bachelor of Education. I have been a Home Based Educator for 15 years.
My home has nice indoor and outdoor play areas. There is a swing and slide set on a large grassed area and a driveway for biking and scootering. I have a room of resources that I bring out into a comfortable lounge area for play. I rotate the resources weekly.
We have a range of art and craft activities available. We also go on outings with our HGK family, venture out to the local library and attend playgroup.
I believe that Preschool children learn by playing and having fun so that is what we do. We explore, create, read and move. I have a passion for nature so we are often out on adventures at local lakes, reserves and beaches looking at bugs and birds.
With only four children in my care at a time, we form close, loving bonds so children feel safe, loved and secure, this is so important as the basis of brain development at this age. I often have children start with me at 1-2 years and continue until they go to school.My experience as a primary school teacher allows me to start them on their literacy and numeracy journey.
Jeanette has been fully safety screened including ID checking, referee checking, interviewed and police vetted. She also holds a current first aid qualification to the required level.
