Experience

I am a Mum to 2 boys, one of whom was home-schooled for 4 years.  I am a qualified Primary Teacher and have worked in Education since around 2010.  Most recently I qualified as a LEGO Education provider and was lucky enough to teach in schools and special needs environments using LEGO to teach Science, English and Communication skills.

Home Environment

Our home environment has a big back yard with a lot of different outdoor play spaces.  We have everything needed to establish a vegetable garden and share that experience with young children. I have a lot of educational resources and an office space that is used as a learning space and crafting.
We have child friendly pets, a dog and a cat.  We have local parks within walking distance which we explore.

Community Involvement

Community events and outings are valuable for children's learning and social development. We'll head out and about on occasions that are suitable.

Childcare Philosophy

My education philosophy is one of a holistic learning journey.  One where learning is structured to the needs and interests of the child, where learning through play helps build a lifelong drive to learn as much as possible - for we should never stop learning something new.

Jocasta has been fully safety screened including a face to face interview, police vetting, identity verification has been fully inducted.  A full risk assessment has been undertaken to ensure she is safe and suitable to work with young children.
