Kathryn

I'm Kathryn and I'm a mum of 2 and have been a Home Based Educator for more than 10 years. I hold the NZ Certificate in ECE - Level 4 and hold a current, fit for purpose first aid certificate at all times.

I live in a quiet cul-de-sac where I offer a warm, inviting and caring environment with a great indoor, outdoor flow which is perfect for little ones to create and explore. We learn through play both inside and outside,crafts, baking, and exploring our environment. We make the most out of every day.

We are regular attendees at music group, library sessions, gymnastics group and play group. We are active out and about in the community where children learn and experience the wider world around them.

I believe in a play-based childcare philosophy that treats play as the primary vehicle for learning, where child-led exploration and intentional guidance builds cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills.

The organisation has undertaken a full safety screening process including police vetting, children's worker interview, identity checking and more. This is completed initially and periodically thereafter. The service deems Kathryn safe to be working interdependently with young children.
