Hi, I'm Leonie and I have been providing Home Based ECE to families in the local area for around 40 years.
I have 3 children all boys which have left home, and 5 grandchildren.
I hole the NZ Certificate in ECE - Level 3 and 4 and maintain a current first aid certificate at all times.
My home is open plan so I'm able to see the children all the time while playing inside.
The sleep room is upstairs.
The children have outdoor room to play out the back where there is a sand pit, mud kitchen, swing and slide, ride-ons and other things for outside play .
Children enjoy a range of activities including:
* Play dough
* Mat time stories and songs
* Drawing
* Free play
* Crafts
We enjoy getting out and about in our local community and attends things such as:
* Music groups
* HGK play group
* Play dates with other eds
* Outings to Deans bush, Willowbank, Air force Museum, Gondola
* HGK outings
Children like routines so I try to keep to the same routine each day.
Each child is different and learn at different rates and ways.
Children learn though play.
Leonie is a longstanding Educator and has been fully safety screened including a face to face interview, police vetting, identity verification and has been fully inducted. A full risk assessment has been undertaken to ensure she is safe and suitable to work with young children. This assessment is made when they first start with us and periodically thereafter.
