Hello! My name is Mel and I am Mum to 4 grown children. I have been a Home Based Educator for more than 15 years and love what I do. Our home has a lovely big back yard and the property backs on to a reserve of native trees.
We regularly attend playgroups and mainly music where the children get to express themselves artistically and have playdates with other Educators and their children supporting wider social interactions and a chance to make some great friends.

We are within walking distance of parks, the library and other nature walks. We love getting out and about on foot.
I believe that children should be allowed the freedom to explore their own play and lead their learning through play. They have amazing imaginations and inquisitive minds which should be nurtured and encouraged.
Mel is a longstanding Educator and has been fully safety screened including a face to face interview, police vetting, identity verification and has been fully inducted. A full risk assessment has been undertaken to ensure she is safe and suitable to work with young children. This assessment is made when they first started with us and periodically thereafter.
Qualifications
NZ Certificate in ECE Level 4
First Aid Certificate
Fully Safety Screened including a Children's worker interview, ID and reference checks validated, police vetting and work history assessed.
