Walk through the door and be inspired to be a child again! Sue provides an organic way for a child to reach his/her true potential. Learning through exploring, amongst all aspects of Te Whāriki daily. Whether it's raising our hens, playing in our sandpit, picking our homegrown flowers, painting art - together we play! Sue also has a beautiful outdoor area, known as 'the secret garden' - which she opens up to for the community to come and enjoy!
Sue lives in a rural setting and has previously had lambs and other animals that the children can interact with. Sue also has chickens that lay eggs – the children love helping to collect the eggs for special baking days.

Sue has been truly exceptional — words honestly don’t do her justice. The love, care, and dedication she shows each child is so genuine, and it’s clear she puts her whole heart into what she does. Sue bases learning around the children’s individual interests, which made every day engaging, meaningful, and fun. She was always taking the kids out and about, giving them real-life experiences and opportunities to explore, learn, and grow beyond four walls. Shelby absolutely adored going to Sue’s. In fact, she loved it so much that when it came time to attend preschool one day a week, it was often a struggle to get her to go because she would rather be with Sue. That alone speaks volumes about the environment Sue creates — one where children feel safe, loved, stimulated, and excited to learn. We feel incredibly grateful to have had Sue as such an important part of Shelby’s early years.
