Kia ora,
My name is Vicky. I have been an Educator for over 25 years. Providing in-home care for three generations of whanau (family), plus bringing up my own two children has given me the skills and experience to provide outstanding and nurturing care to all tamariki (children). I am very passionate about working with tamariki and find it very rewarding to watch them grow and flourish throughout the years in my care.

I have a motherly intuition and very patient. It has been a pleasure to continue to be involved in the lives of my previous tamariki, attending school functions, weekend sports, 21st celebrations, and family events.
I am closely supported by my Visiting Teacher who regularly visits my home to enable me to provide the safest up-to-date care for tamariki.

Home Environment

My safe nurturing home environment provides a range of age-appropriate resources for inside and outside learning and fun. I enjoy taking my tamariki on regular trips exploring the community, parks, gym, library, playgroup, walks to see the ducks, and community events. This provides tamariki with the opportunity to explore in their own way and build relationships with one another whilst learning.

Childcare Philosophy

I feel very confident that the care I provide to my tamariki is of the highest standard and the valuable skills they learn help set them up for their transition to school. I keep my skills and knowledge up-to-date by regularly attending first aid courses and practical workshops.

Service Statement

Vicky is a longstanding Educator and has been fully safety screened including a face to face interview, police vetting, identity verification and has been fully inducted.  A full risk assessment has been undertaken to ensure she is safe and suitable to work with young children. This assessment is made when they first started with us and periodically thereafter.
Vicky's qualifications include:
