Friendly Faces Behind the Scenes
Meet our Head Office Team
Head Office is based in Tauranga Moana in the sunny Bay of Plenty. Head office primary functions are to engage with whanau, Educators and external agencies, support the accurate processing of enrolments, changes to enrolments and administering of Educator payments.
Our customer focused team greet and engage with our Educators and whanau with kindness and respect. If they don’t have the answer, they’ll go out of their way to find it
We introduce them here:

Fiona Shepherd
Working alongside the admin team, Fiona supports the processing of Educator reimbursements and parent invoices but her role doesn’t stop there, she also sports a great sense of humour and a ‘can do’ attitude which we adore! Its a balancing act prioritising processing payments and updating Homezone with change of hours forms, WINZ schedules, 20 hour ECE attestations and temp care for our Gingerbread Cottage and Kids at Home whanau which also keeps Fiona busy, no two days are the same at Edubase HQ!

Kimberley Allwright
Supporting our Visiting Teacher team from the Horowhenua district down, Kimberley facilitates curriculum implementation alongside her colleagues. A regular visitor to the regions she is responsible for, Kimberley is able to lead the team with confidence and knowledge and is always looking for innovative ways to support the team in working together to reach our goal of providing best outcomes for children.

Nikki Booth
If you’ve ever phoned Edubase HQ there’s a high chance that you would have been greeted by our Admin extraordinaire Nikki! From the friendly greeting to follow through of your query, you’ll find Nikki a breath of fresh air. Sometimes, in a fast changing environment it’s hard to keep up with rules and regulations around enrolments, fees and subsidies, so if Nikki doesn’t have the answer straight away, she’ll find out and get back to you promptly! That’s what we call awesome customer service.

Lisa Carter
Lisa loves her role at Edubase in charge of Educator and family payment processing for our Wild Things and Home Grown Kids whanau. She’s the pumping administrator wading her way through the hundreds of attendance records every week, checking and triple checking to ensure Educators receive the correct reimbursement and families the right invoice. Its a balancing act prioritising processing payments and updating Homezone with change of hours forms, WINZ schedules, 20 hour ECE attestations and temp care! Not sure how she manages, but she does!

Tracey Pope
Tracey supports our admin team in a role of Senior Administrator. Within her role Tracey is responsible for ensuring that payment functions within our families and Educators are accurate and on time, has the pleasure of processing all of our referral reward vouchers and processing our Nanny pays. Tracey’s attention to detail makes her the perfect admin support for the Leadership team.

Liz Martin
Sitting on the Leadership team as Financial Manager, Liz has the overall shared responsibility for ensuring our Organisation continues to grow and thrive in a financially sustainable way. With over 20 years of experience in the Home Based sector, Liz holds a wealth of knowledge and expertise around funding and regulatory requirements making her perfect in this role.

Jacqui Haywood
Jacqui’s teaching experience spans decades and so it’s fitting that she sits on the Leadership team as our Teaching and Learning Manager. Jacqui supports our team of Visiting Teachers with curriculum support and development which in turn, enhances the learning opportunities our tamariki experience. Jacqui can often be found out and about visiting regional playgroups and outings, connecting with Educators and tamariki which is one of her favourite parts of her role!

Stacey Dunn
Within the Edubase organisational structure, Stacey sits across business development and marketing, supporting the growth and sustainability of Edubase. With almost 30 years of experience in the Home Based sector alone, Stacey has a broad knowledge of the sector and often sits on sector working groups to effect positive change within the Home Based setting.

Jesse Best
Jesse has a pivotal role here at Edubase. He is a talented software developer, web and graphic designer. Jesse is the brains behind our Student Management System – Homezone. A bespoke piece of integrated software that is so much more than our student database. Just ask any one of our team, families or Educators about the extensive benefits that Homezone affords.

Dave Best
Dave is our Director here at Edubase. It is through his vision for families having access to quality Home Based ECE and his commitment to advocate for Educators in their role that Edubase exists. Dave is supported by the Leadership team that head up the day-to-day operations of the Organisation.
